Your privacy and trust are important to us. Our privacy policy explains how Mussa & Associates PLLC CPAs (“MAPLLC,” “we”, “us” or “our”) collects, handles, stores and protects personal information about you in the context of our services. It also provides information about your rights and about how you can contact us if you have questions about how we handle your information.

Privacy Policy
We at Mussa & Associates PLLC CPAs (“MAPLLC”) are committed to respecting your online privacy and recognize your need for appropriate protection and management of any personally identifiable information you share with us. MAPLLC has established this Privacy Statement so that you can understand the care with which we intend to treat your personal information.
“Personal Information” means any information that may be used to identify an individual, including, but not limited to, a first and last name, a home or other physical address, and an email address or other contact information, whether at work or at home. In general, you can visit MAPLLC’s Web pages without telling us who you are or revealing any Personal Information about yourself.

If you choose to provide us with your Personal Information on the Web, we may transfer that Information within MAPLLC or to MAPLLC’s third-party service providers, across borders, and from your country or jurisdiction to other countries or jurisdictions around the world.

Information Gathered
MAPLLC gathers two types of information about users:

(1) Non-personally identifiable information: When visitors come to our website, we collect and aggregate information indicating, among other things, which pages of the website were visited, the order in which they were visited, and which hyperlinks were “clicked.” Collecting such information involves the logging of the IP addresses, operating system and browser software used by each visitor to the MAPLLC website. Although such information is not personally identifiable, we can determine from an IP address a visitor’s Internet Service Provider and the geographic location of his or her point of connectivity.

Cookies: Some of our Web pages may utilize “cookies” and other tracking technologies. A “cookie” is a small text file placed on a user’s computer hard drive that may be used, for example, to collect information about website activity. Some cookies and other technologies may serve to recall Personal Information previously indicated by a Web user. Most browsers allow you to control cookies, including whether or not to accept them and how to remove them. Cookies allow MAPLLC to serve you better and more efficiently, and to personalize your experience at MAPLLC’s website. Nevertheless, you should be able to control how and whether cookies will be accepted by your Web browser. For more information on how to do so, please refer to the documentation accompanying your browser.

Internet Protocol (IP): Tracking technologies may record information such as Internet domain and host names; Internet Protocol (IP) addresses; browser software and operating system types; click-stream patterns; and dates and times that our site is accessed. Our use of cookies and other tracking technologies allows us to improve our website and your Web experience. We may also analyze information that does not contain Personal Information for trends and statistics.

Website Links: The MAPLLC website may contain links to other Internet websites, including co-branded or other affiliated sites which may or may not be owned or operated by MAPLLC. Unless otherwise explicitly stated, we are not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of such websites, including such sites’ use of any information (such as IP numbers, browser types or operating systems) collected when visitors to the MAPLLC website click through to those sites. Even though such information might not identify you personally, we strongly encourage you to become familiar with the privacy practices of those sites.

(2) Personally identifiable information: In certain areas of the MAPLLC website—for example, when registering to become a MAPLLC customer or agent—we require that you provide us with personally identifiable information (including, for example, first name, surname, street address, email address, telephone number and, when applicable, credit card information).

Notice: Where MAPLLC collects Personal Information on the web, we intend to post a purpose statement that explains why Personal Information will be collected and whether we plan to share such Personal Information outside of MAPLLC or with those working on MAPLLC’s behalf. MAPLLC does not intend to transfer Personal Information without your consent to third parties who are not bound to act on MAPLLC’s behalf unless such transfer is legally required.

Choice: You may choose whether or not to provide Personal Information to MAPLLC. The notice we intend to provide, where MAPLLC collects Personal Information on the web, should help you to make this choice. If you choose not to provide the Personal Information we request, you can still visit most of MAPLLC’s websites, but you may be unable to access certain options, offers, and services that involve our interaction with you, such as our services for agents and customers. If you choose to have a relationship with MAPLLC, as a customer, agent or through a contractual or other business relationship or partnership, we will naturally continue to contact you in connection with that business relationship.

Security: Wherever your Personal Information may be held within MAPLLC or on its behalf, we intend to take reasonable and appropriate steps to protect the Personal Information that you share with us from unauthorized access or disclosure.

Access/Accuracy: To the extent that you do provide us with Personal Information, MAPLLC wishes to maintain accurate Personal Information. Where we collect Personal Information from you on the web, our goal is to provide a means of contacting MAPLLC should you need to update or correct that information. If for any reason those means are unavailable or inaccessible, you may send updates and corrections about your Personal Information to [email protected] and we will make reasonable efforts to incorporate the changes in your Personal Information that we hold as soon as practicable.

Third Party Services: Third parties may provide certain services on MAPLLC’s behalf. MAPLLC may provide information, including Personal Information, which MAPLLC collects on the Web to third-party service providers to help us deliver services, programs, products, and information. Service providers are also an important means by which MAPLLC maintains its website and mailing lists. MAPLLC will take reasonable steps to ensure that these third-party service providers are obligated to protect Personal Information on MAPLLC’s behalf. You may choose to opt out of our mailing lists.
MAPLLC does not intend to transfer Personal Information without your consent to third parties who are not bound to act on MAPLLC’s behalf, unless such transfer is legally required. Similarly, it is against MAPLLC’s policy to sell Personal Information collected online without consent.

While MAPLLC encourages all third parties to adhere to our policies regarding your privacy and to otherwise handle personal information in a responsible manner, we cannot and do not assume any responsibility for any actions or omissions of third parties, including the manner in which they use information received either from MAPLLC or independently. Nevertheless, in the event that you encounter any third party associated with, or who claims association with, MAPLLC who you feel is improperly collecting or using information about you, please contact [email protected]; we will be happy to forward your message to the third party.

Commitment: We are committed to protecting privacy. Protecting your privacy online is an evolving area, and MAPLLC’s website is constantly evolving to meet these demands.
If you have any comments or questions regarding our Privacy Statement, contact us at [email protected].
While we cannot guarantee privacy perfection, we will address any issue to the best of our abilities as soon as possible.

Other
We reserve the right to release Personal Information when you are in violation of our Acceptable Use Policy or other published guidelines, or partake (or are reasonably suspected of partaking) in any illegal activity, even without a subpoena, warrant or other court order, and to release such information in response to court and governmental orders, civil subpoenas, discovery requests, and as otherwise required by law. We cooperate with law enforcement agencies in identifying those who may be using our servers or services for illegal activities. We also reserve the right to report any suspected illegal activity to law enforcement individuals or entities for investigation or prosecution.
In addition, we may sell or transfer assets or portions of our business as we continue to improve our service and product offerings. In such transactions, user or visitor information (whether non-personally identifiable or personally identifiable) may constitute one of the transferred business assets.

Your Consent
By using this website, you consent to the terms of our Privacy Statement and to MAPLLC’s processing of Personal Information for the purposes given above as well as those explained where MAPLLC collects Personal Information on the Web. Should the Privacy Statement change, we intend to take every reasonable step to ensure that these changes are brought to your attention by posting all changes prominently on our website for a reasonable period of time.
